United Tour

April 24th, 2009

Here are some clips from the United Tour.  The tickets were my Valentines Day present.  It was by far the best concert I’ve seen in a long time.  I grew up listening to both Michael W Smith and Steven Curtis Chapman, so to see them doing their songs as duets was really awesome!!  The one video is just Michael W Smith old school, and the other one is one of the many songs they turned into a duet.

here are some of the videos that Tim took (even though he supposed to) of last night’s concert.  Bebo Norman was also there but he didn’t take video of him.

What an awesome night!

missing my Boo-a-nator

September 17th, 2008

Today’s a sad day.  Being a pet owner, you know this day will some day come, yet somehow we all hope to somehow avoid it.  Gertie Miranda died today.  She was too sick and was suffering.  Still the fact that she is no longer suffering doesn’t bring me comfort.  She was definitely a one of a kind.  I used to call her Boo because when I would call she would actually answer me, not to mention you could always surprise her and she would go “burr!”.  She was actually more like a dog than a cat, she came when she was called and never realized that cats were allowed to have an attitude.

In reality she was Jake’s pet.  I got her for him cuz he was lonely and they got along from the second she got out of the carrier.  Before Tim and, later Garrett were ever my family, there was Gertie and Jake.  There was a time it was just the three of us.  She will be missed.  No other cat will ever be quite like “dirty Gertie”.  She was the oldest of all three cats, age 10, but you would have thought she was the kitten.   Tim and I always joked that someday we would just find her totally spent, exhausted; and I guess that’s kind of what happened.

Surprise, surprise it’s not of G!!  Tim said he didn’t even know he opened his eyes.  It’s so hilarious to me.

kinda sad

July 2nd, 2008

Sometimes I’m amazed by my son’s ability to articulate.

The other night I was tucking him in (first a little background…we had just gotten back from vacay where we rented a cabin; pix to come; and there were 2 double beds in thebedroom so G slep “by” us) and he started to get whiny, and I asked him what wrong.  Without any hesitation he says “Garrett;s (everything is in 3rd person) kinda sad that Mommy’s not sleeping by in other bed”.  I think it probably brought tears to my eyes, I wanted to tell him I would sleep with him, but I fought the urge gave him a hug, and he was asleep in less than 10 minutes.  He’s the best!!!!

an awesome website

April 19th, 2008

So I read about this website that not even my techo geek husband knew about (that NEVER happens!).  It’s very similar to Amazon.com but it’s free. It’s a book exchange website.  It’s called Bookmooch.com you list books you want to get rid of and for ever book someone “mooches” off you, you get a point to in turn get one.  In the begining you have to list 10 to get a point to getyou started.  I’m so addicted!!
